This Sunday, Ken Lee will be facilitating the service on the subject of “The Breath of Life.”
Once again, the Rose family will contribute to our worship experience this weekend! Ken will read a sermon by Jeremy Rose called “The Winds of Change” which was part of a series of talks that Jeremy provided last Spring for the Virginia Street Swedenborgian Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
He tells us it was a fascinating study of four basic elements: earth, air, water, and fire. From stories of the Word, he delved into the symbolism of each element and then showed how each element connects to our daily lives. This sermon is the one about air, wind, breath, and our spirit. (The music will also tie into the topic).
Although this is not directly related to this weekend’s celebrations of Halloween or Dia de los Muertos, it does connect because the subject of breath and spirit is so vital to our spiritual lives and our life after death.
