Dear Sunrise Chapel Community,
Please see the following announcement concerning the transition of our friend Anita Tift to the spiritual world (penned by Elise Gladish) on November 29th. Plans are in process for a memorial service to be held at Sunrise Chapel after the holidays. We will share more information as we receive it in the coming
days.
"The Lord is near to the broken hearted, and the savior of those who are crushed in spirit." (Ps. 34: 18)
Love and Peace,
Ethan
We are so sad to learn of the passing to the spiritual world of a dear friend, Anita Tifft.
Anita has known many of us over the years from Sunrise Chapel. She first heard about Sunrise Chapel from Betsy Gladish, who was working with Anita at Atria Compana del Rio. Soon Anita became interested in attending some of Frank Rose’s spiritual
growth groups and attending church activities like Arizona Mountain Camp.
Upon her retirement, she became one of the regular “kitchen ladies” who helped put on the lunches each Sunday. Her kind and generous heart moved her to help out around church in many ways. She loved helping decorate for Christmas and setting up the
Christmas Village, which she donated to the church.
Her sense of fun motivated her to help with the Halloween Parties. She would help with refreshments for events or making a meal for those in need. She was also a dear member of the Women’s Group.
All of us who knew her will miss her gentle and loving and giving spirit. We send our love and condolences to her children, their spouses, and the grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Casey and Karen, and children Acacia, Henry, and Julie; Megan and
Tony and daughter Blake; as well as Anita’s friend David.
