Spiritual Summer (05/19/24)

An idea concerning the good which is of charity, and concerning the truth which is of faith, may be formed from the light and heat of the sun. When the light which proceeds from the sun is conjoined to heat, as is the case in the time of spring and summer, then all things of the earth germinate and flourish; but when there is no heat in the light, as in the time of winter, then all things of the earth become torpid and die; also spiritual light is the truth of faith, and spiritual heat is love. From these things an idea may be formed concerning the person of the church, what their quality is when faith with them is conjoined to charity, namely, that they are like a garden and paradise; and what their quality is when faith with them is not conjoined to charity, that they are like a desert and earth covered with snow.  (Swedenborg, New Jerusalem 114)

SRC Annual Meeting Notice, June 9th

This will serve as your official notice that the Annual Meeting of the Sunrise Chapel congregation will be June 9th 2024 after church (12:45pm) in Friendship Hall.  Come learn about what our year has been like, and what exciting things are ahed in the new year for this Church.  Join us!

McCardell Family Travel Schedule
The McCardell family will be away for three Sundays in July (14th,21st, and 28th).  These will feature a small group discussion led by Sue Carr, followed by work parties to care for your church.  More to say on these soon...  Also, the Pastor will be away at Clergy Meetings, leaving after church on the 23rd and returning on the 28th of June.  Church on Sunday June 23rd will therefore start at 10:30am.

"Off the Left Eye" Class (05/21/24):

Class will resume this week on Tuesday May 21st at 1pm in the Chapel, with Sue Carr.  The subject: "How Angels Speak With Us"
