Honor One Another - Nathan Gladish Here is a spiritual growth task that we will be exploring together this Sunday... When you are with
someone and you experience negative thoughts or feelings towards them, stop and remind yourself of the God-given qualities of that other person. You might want to remember that if you could see deeply enough into the other person’s life, you would be in awe of him or her. Find a way to honor this other person in your heart.
Speaking of honoring people , I am so happy with all the love and
effort and time so many people have put into the recent refurbishing in the Chapel, the Vestry, and the Bride's Room! The list of helpers is long, and all the improvements really add up to make the place look clean, tidy, and fresh. Come and see! It's a beautiful improvement!
AND meanwhile, a huge
team of busy workers has been hard at work preparing for tonight's Halloween party in the Celebration Garden! What a labor of love - the space looks so great, and they have cleverly and thoughtfully incorporated a lot of games and activities for all ages!
And one heartwarming way to honor all these wonderful people is
to show up and enjoy their efforts!

Hearing Aid Audio Loop and New Carpet Installed!!
This is a photo of the sound loop installed on the uncarpeted cement floor. Dave is on the chancel taking out nails and replacing them with screws to eliminate those pesky squeaks!
Thanks to a generous financial grant from the Asplundh Foundation, we now have new carpet installed in the
sanctuary, the vestry meeting room, and the bride's room.
In addition, thanks to a generous gift of Cheri Reynolds in honor of her husband George we also have a new hearing aid sound system. Now, anyone with hearing aids properly programmed can easily pick up audio through this special system.
This system was coordinated with the installation of the new carpet, since the "audio loop/wire" needs to be underneath the carpet as shown in the photo.
Also, thanks to another generous independent donation and a lot of volunteer labor by "Installation team Ken and Dave" and "Painting team Mike, Dale, James & Stephanie," we now have beautiful baseboards installed in all the rooms with the
new carpet. Repair and painting of the chapel interior walls is continuing.
SO MUCH has been done to dress the place up! You should see it to appreciate it!

New Church Foundations Class

Mondays at 6:30 in the Children's Chapel This 7-week series of classes / small groups highlights the main teachings of our church, and helps give insight into what the New Church movement and the global organization is all
about.
This session is now closed to new participants. However, if you took the course before, you are free to join us, or if you want to "make up" a couple of meetings you missed in a previous series, you are welcome to drop in.
If you can't attend this series or you prefer a daytime meeting, let me know, and we will coordinate something to suit your needs.

Thirtieth Anniversary Planning Meeting this Sunday

This coming March 24-26, 2017 will be the 30th anniversary month of the dedication of Sunrise Chapel!! Let's celebrate!
Thank you to Betsy Gladish for volunteering to be our cheerleader! We have had several energetic brainstorming meetings to talk about making this a very special community-oriented, welcoming weekend of activities. Betsy is looking forward to helping us pool our energies and talents to make this a fun and meaningful occasion.

2017. We will have special guests from near and far, and various activities to honor the past and look forward with renewed energy!
