Two Easter Services: 1. Early "sunrise" service, April 1, at 7 am - outdoors This service is an
informal, outdoor service to celebrate the wonder the disciples expressed on hearing the news of the Lord's resurrection. 2. Easter Festival Family Service + Egg Hunt, April 1, at 11 am + Easter luncheon afterwards in Friendship
Hall. This service will feature one talk for adults and children, followed immediately by an egg hunt outside, then a luncheon. You are invited to bring an item for the potluck. The main dish will be provided by the ladies of the Women's Guild.
Smile!
Easter Photos! Like last year, Christine Morey will once again take snapshots of anyone interested on Easter Sunday! Come a little before 11 am. It's an opportunity to celebrate our church community.
Celebrating our Lord Jesus Christ as "the one in charge" Easter is a time to celebrate the fulfillment of our Lord’s work in the world.
The word, “Lord”, in this context means “the one in charge.” Throughout His life, He was in charge, carrying out all the prophesies of the Old Testament about His coming. And He was in charge with each encounter of teaching, healing, and miracle-working. He was even in charge of his death, knowing that it was but another step towards resurrection and complete connection with the Divine.
Even through His many trials—both outwardly and especially inwardly—He was Lord over all attempts to destroy His life and mission. The story of His resurrection is the culmination of His unique life’s project. Because of it we can celebrate our Lord and Savior as the one in charge spiritually. Our mission, if we are willing to accept it, is to faithfully follow in His footsteps.
Thinking of you all with love and respect, Nathan

Good Friday Vesper
service
|
|
Informally enacting the Last Supper As part of our vesper service on Good Friday (March 30), we began in a circle at the entrance of the Chapel where we heard part of the story of the Lord's final days on earth.
When we got to the part about the last supper, we moved to the long table near the chancel and sat all together (20 of us) to take the Holy Supper, in remembrance of the Lord's final meal with His disciples before the crucifixion.
The readings from the Gospel were all from Luke this time. With the candlelight, beautiful music, and the company of friends, it was a moving and
powerful experience.
