There's a happy egg hunter! What a delightful Easter weekend it was! From Friday evening's very special vespers in the chapel, to the relaxed early morning outdoor service Sunday morning, and concluding with a very busy and satisfying festival service egg
hunt potluck luncheon extravaganza. The place was especially humming on Sunday at noon with over 100 participants involved in the worship service and activities afterwards.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with all the different elements -
decorations, music, photographs, egg hunt, and the most delicious pot luck luncheon! So many people involved in so many details! It was truly a collaboration.
Smile! Easter Photos! Thank you to Christine Morey for taking snapshots
of anyone interested on Easter Sunday! And thank you to Kevin Morey for getting the photos printed during the church service! What treat! It's an opportunity to celebrate our church community.
Thinking of you all with love and respect, Nathan

Easter 7 am "early" Outdoor Church
Service
|
|
A small but intimate and relaxed "sunrise" service With thanks to Ken Lee and Elise Gladish for helping set up, this early morning service was a delightful way to welcome the spirit of Easter and the Lord's miraculous resurrection. The temperature was perfect, with the moon setting and
the sun rising as we reflected on the Lord's glory and what it meant for Jesus to be "glorified." That doesn't just mean being praised; rather it is a way of talking about the light of God being present in and through Jesus Christ transformed. Earlier in His ministry He gave a hint of what that would be like when three of his closest disciples saw Him "transfigured" and got a glimpse of His glory. Easter was the fulfillment of that journey of
glorification.

Easter 11 am Church
Service
|
|
A delightful time of worship together With thanks to Elise Gladish and donations from members and friends, the chancel was beautifully decorated for Easter Sunday with lilies in dedication to a variety of people. It really was very special to read all the dedications in the Sunday
bulletin and think of each person and their connections with family, friends, and with Sunrise Chapel. Our musicians did a lovely job leading us all with lively music to celebrate this very big occasion. Special thanks go to Liz Rose Zeno for her awesome interlude solo highlighting the Lord's resurrection. The message of Easter is so important. And we will continue featuring "post-Easter" stories in the coming
Sunday.

Small Groups for Working on the Tasks in the new Card Deck We now have three small groups in place for the current series on "Spiritual Growth Tasks" using the new task card deck. *
Wednesday nights at 6:30-8:00 pm in the Chapel, led by Frank Rose. * Thursday afternoons at 3:00-4:30 pm in the Chapel, led by me (Nathan). * Thursday evenings at 7:00-8:30 pm Women's Group
in homes, led by various women. Contact Elise Gladish for details.
Note: The Monday evening group is on hold. I was
planning to start this meeting at the Ada Peirce McCormick Building on the U of A campus. However, not enough people expressed interest to get it up and running at this time. I will try again another time, so if you are interested, let me know!
I am very proud of this new product that
features a broad range of tasks! It really has been a year-long process of development since last March, and we're looking forward to continuing to develop the website and the program in order to serve more people. Stay tuned for more developments and ways to help!
With love and
respect, Nathan
