Self worth I think part of being human is finding the sweet spot of self worth - not too much, and not too little, but just right for a healthy internal, spiritual perspective. In the Psalms, David emphasizes "I am wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14). Swedenborg teaches that the highest, best angels feel life to be
completely their own and at the same time acknowledge the reality that everything is from the Lord. But many people also struggle with negative self-talk. This Sunday let's explore what the Lord's will is for us and for valuing our self.

Also, Gail B wants everyone to know that she is really counting on others to participate in soliciting donations from businesses. ANYONE CAN DO
IT! This Sunday let's discuss more tips for how to do this effectively. The more donations, the more fun, and the more potential for funds!
It is helpful to take a copy of the “official” letter from the Pastor with you, and leave it with the appropriate person at the place of business. Copies of the letter and envelopes are on a table in the Chapel front
lobby.
The idea of this gala is to provide a fun, social evening, including a meal, entertainment, and an auction of goods and services that a broad audience will bid on. This kind of
event is not only fun, but it can also be morale-boosting as we work together on a common project. It can also be an opportunity to welcome friends and others who appreciate Sunrise Chapel.
It will take collaboration and lots of planning to pull it off. Put a big star on your calendar for Friday February 8, 2019. Consider it a big "date night" or some special event with family and friends. It's gonna be great! ~Nathan

Every created thing in the world, both animate and inanimate, has an inner level and an outer level. The one level does not exist in the absence of the other, any more than an effect can exist without a cause. Every created thing is considered valuable if it is inwardly good, and worthless if it is inwardly bad, even where inner badness lies within outer
goodness.
Every wise person in the world and every angel in heaven evaluates people and things in this way…
In our world, of course, the inside is sometimes valued highly on the basis of what is outside, but only by people who judge things by appearances…
What is on the outside derives its value from what is on the inside and not the other way around.

Our facade, or our person,
is not much by itself, unless there is something inside to animate it and bring it to life. So what is inside determines how good the outside is.
