"Virtual" church service this Sunday
Good afternoon, everyone!
Friends,
I am struck with the contrast between what is temporary and what is timeless. This pandemic is temporary. Soon we will return to normal, albeit a new kind of normal. On the other hand, our spiritual life and the life of our spirit is timeless. Whether we gather physically, virtually, or simply by means of thoughts and prayers, we are still gathering strength when we invite the life and love and hope of
the Lord into our hearts and minds. That, my good friends, is worshiping the Lord. Don't let a little virus get in your way of staying connected with God's love, wisdom, and creative usefulness!
I am thinking a lot about each of you and "all y'all" as I continue working behind the scenes both at the church and at home. I'm venturing further into our electronic capabilities to stay connected "virtually." It's time-consuming, but I expect it to have good benefits.
Like last Sunday, I will livestream a scaled-down church service this Sunday
Our 11 o'clock service will be livestreamed using our YouTube channel (see below for links).
Everyone is encouraged to stay home (per the various proclamations) and participate online. I will have a children's portion during the service in order to be as inclusive as possible. I hope to have some participation from others (remotely) if I can figure out the technology. It'll be low-tech, but hopefully meaningful.

Friendship by Phone
Elise and I are working on an "old-fashioned" phone calling system to enhance our connection and communication during this weird time. Until we get it going, please reach out to anyone by phone and say Hi. Chat. Share. Pray together. Let's keep up our sense of community as much as possible. We need each other!
